        CV of Dr. Tihamér TÓTH

        Tihamér Tóth is a full time professor at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of Pázmány Péter Catholic University in Budapest, Hungary. He is also an of counsel lawyer co-heading the competition law practice of Dentons Réczicza LLP in Budapest. Tihamér Tóth is an internationally known expert in the area of competition law and has authored over fifty publications in Hungarian and English in this area. Chambers Europe ranked Tihamér Tóth as “Eminent Practitioner” in Competition/Antitrust, in 2017 and 2018. He is also the co-chief editor of the Hungarian language state aid law journal. He has been the project leader of several competition law related research projects focusing on the goals of competition, sanctions and state interventions in the economy. He was involved in EU funded project on raising the competition law skills of judges in 2014 and in 2019. His mother tongue is Hungarian and speaks and writes English fluently, German at medium level.
