Chinese Competition Decision Summaries on Kluwer Competition Law is a collection of English summaries of all published decisions from Chinese competition regulatory bodies and courts, edited by a team of experts from the Centre for Competition Law and Policy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. For further details please see About the Editors below. The collection consists of more than fifty case summaries since the implementation of China’s Anti-Monopoly Law in 2008. This collection will be updated on a quarterly basis as further regulatory decisions and court decisions are made.

 

Each online summary starts with case data containing key facts about the decision 1, followed by user-friendly sections as follows:

These concise summaries will help users conduct research on competition law and practice in China. About the Editors

 

Liyang Hou

Dr Liyang Hou is KoGuan Associate Professor and Assistant Dean of research at KoGuan Law School, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Deputy Director of the Center for Competition Law and Policy (CCLP). Before joining KoGuan Law School, he was a researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Law and ICT, Faculty of Law, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). His research crosses over a number of legal fields, including competition law, telecom regulation, economic analysis of law and EU law. He has published more than 20 articles, and (co-)authored 5 books. He is a member of the Pacific Telecommunications Council and a member of the Academic Society for Competition Law. Jian Li

Dr Jian Li is Full Professor at KoGuan Law School, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Executive Director of the CCLP. His current research mainly focuses on competition law and economic analysis of law. Prof Li has published more than 30 articles in top academic journals, such as Computer Law & Security Review, China Legal Science and Chinese Journal of Law. Most of them were reprinted by core citation index journals. He is a member of the Asia Competition Forum, an affiliated researcher at the Competition Law Center of Eastern China University of Political Science and Law, a member of Department of Economic Law at the China Law Society, and Secretary General of Shanghai Competition Law Association. Prof. Li has won multiple academic awards.

 

Wang Xianlin

Dr Xianlin Wang is Full Professor and Executive Dean of KoGuan Law School, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Director of the CCLP. Prof Wang is one of the leading experts in competition law in China. He has authored and co-authored about 30 books, and published more than 200 articles. As a renowned competition law expert, he is a member to the expert panel of the Chinese Anti-Monopoly Committee, and was an advisor for the Drafting Committee of Chinese Antimonopoly Law and a member of the Consultant Committee for WTO Trade and Competition Policy of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. Since 2000, he has acted as the principal investigator for more than 10 national and provincial research projects, including projects funded by the National Social Science Planning Fund, the National Natural Science Foundation, and the National Soft Science. He has received several important academic awards for his outstanding achievements in teaching and research.
