The Center for Competition Law and Policy (CCLP) was established in 2010 as a university level research center at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It is built upon an integrated goal of multiple discipine, research orientation, and practice focus, and aims for an academic platform with domestic and international influence. The CCLP takes advantage of its capable research team comprising both full-time and part-time members. The six full-time members are constituted by three full professors, one associate professor, and two lecturers. All of them have a doctorate degree (one overseas returnee with PhD degree), thus forming a sophisticated teaching and research team. The director is Professor Wang Xianlin, the executive director is Professor Li Jian, and the deputy director is Professor Hou Liyang, and the secretary-general is Dr. Shang Lina. This CCLP was jointly established by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the former Competition Enforcement Bureau of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. It maintains close cooperation with the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Anti-Monopoly Commission of the State Council. The CCLP was continuously included into the Shanghai University Thinktank Project in 2016 and 2017. It chairs the Secretariat of the Competition Law Association of the Shanghai Law Society.
