About the Database

Chinese Competition Decision Summaries on Kluwer Competition Law is a collection of English summaries of all published decisions from Chinese competition regulatory bodies and courts, edited by a team of experts from the Centre for Competition Law and Policy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. For further details please see About the Editors below. The collection consists of more than fifty case summaries since the implementation of China’s Anti-Monopoly Law in 2008. This collection will be updated on a quarterly basis as further regulatory decisions and court decisions are made.

Each online summary starts with case data containing key facts about the decision 1, followed by user-friendly sections as follows:

1. Case History

2. Facts

3. Procedures

4. Competition Assessment

5. Decision

6. Commentary

7. Link to original decision or judgment (in Chinese)

These concise summaries will help users conduct research on competition law and practice in China. As well as providing key facts relating to the case and the decision, they explain the significance of the result. The summaries provide an empirical basis to identify key issues to be aware of when involved in competition law matters in this important jurisdiction.
